Alyssa Heck | Owner
Alyssa is our new owner and director as of September 2020. Alyssa was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and a graduate of Claude High School. She graduated with a Finance degree from WTAMU in 2014.
Alyssa spent many years in the banking industry before she changed to the medical field in 2016 and ultimately senior care in 2020. Alyssa has been an entrepreneur at heart and buying the Hudson House Canyon seemed to be the perfect fit. The Lord orchestrated each and every step leading to this moment.
The Hudson House has some family lineage tying back to Alyssa. The Hudson House Canyon was built after a sister property that was built in remembrance of the previous owner’s grandmother, Alda Hudson. Alda, Alyssa’s great grandmother, was an incredibly special lady in every way and when she could no longer stay at the farm in Goodnight, Texas there was nowhere like the Hudson House for her to go. Sharon Wetzel and Sandra Metcalf, the previous owners, felt there needed to be a special place for the elderly to go. Alyssa is thrilled as she has the privilege to carry on the Hudson name and care for your loved ones.
Sade Thomas | Executive Director
Sade started working at the Hudson House in 2021 and very quickly proved to be someone we couldn’t do without and needed more of and became our Executive Director before the end of the year. Sade comes with a wide expertise in senior care and her knowledge is invaluable and provides our residents with quality care.
Sonya Guerra |
Health & Wellness Coordinator
Sonya joined the Hudson House Team in 2024 and brings with her vast knowledge and experience to Resident Care. She has a heart of gold is very dedicated to her career. As a Canyon native, Sonya also exudes a love of this area and it’s people.
Craig Ames |
Maintenance
Craig joined our team in 2021. He is the man who can problem solve and fix any issue. Craig oversees the building and that it is operating to its full potential. His knowledge and passion for helping seniors makes Craig an integral asset to our team.
